Beverly composes original music for independent film, multi-media, and performance. Her work has been featured internationally at the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan, and has been used in promotional videos for clients such as Ronald McDonald House Charities.
“When presented with an emotion, concept, or visual image, I enjoy the process of encounter and response. Creating a soundscape is where the music begins. The connection is already there… I just need to discover it. That’s the hook for me. And when it all comes together, it often feels organic. I find this very rewarding.” “Meet Beverly Gibson” Voyage Chicago City Guide, Dec 6, 2016
Beverly’s global influences include listening to the call to prayer sung from the minaret in Manama, Bahrain, while living abroad in the Middle East . She also lived four years in Milan, Italy, learning the language of her muse. She’s known to make a delicious pasta aglio olio.
Outside the studio Beverly enjoys performing as a vocalist in the Chicago area with several bands on the private party and club circuit. She likes performing a broad range of styles with an assortment of amazing musicians.
